About The Light House Community

The Light House Community Church aspires to go beyond the walls to connect with people who have no church background or who would never choose to step inside a church building. We are tuning in to our local communities and seek relevant ways to show Christ’s love and share his gospel.

We are a faithful presence in the West Shore, bearing witness to the love of God.

Our mission is focussed in the Tudno 2 LSOA

  • This is one of only four LSOAs in Conwy ranked as 10% most deprived in Wales
  • We are seeking to be a faithful presence in this part of West Shore and outlying regions in Mostyn 1 and 2 LSOAs which have similar deprived characteristics.

The Light House Community Church is Home Mission funded with the North West Baptist Association and works in partnership with local Baptist churches.

Llandudno Baptist Church Building

This is a large Victorian Anglican church with a green space, a car park and a hall, kitchen and toilets. It was purchased by Llandudno Baptist Church in 2003 but has had limited use by the church since 2017. For this building to be used for the glory of God and the good of the community, the majority of the space is used by two Christian charities. TLC continues to facilitate this provision as well as using the building for office space, prayer and some Christian worship.

A Historic Building

The church of Our Saviour is located on the east side of Great Orme Road, West Shore at its junction with Bryniau Road. It was built in 1911-12 to designs of Richard Beckett, architect, Hartford (Cheshire) after a competition which included Herbert L. North and others.

Constructed of red Runcorn sandstone with slate roofs it comprises a Late Gothic nave with low passage aisles stopped at twin porches. It was intended to have a tower with a fleche over the chancel. The alabaster font is a memorial to Lewis Carroll. The church was extended in the later twentieth century and has been transferred from the Church in Wales to the Llandudno Baptist Church.
